Pros and Cons in Living  Honolulu – Oahu

Pros:

  1. The Beaches – We have fantastic coastlines on Oahu. We have prominent world-renown coastlines like Waikiki Coastline to the North Coast beaches for surfing the family-friendly coastlines to the regional favorites you have never heard of. The water is warm throughout the year, and the shades are remarkable. Imagine seeing crystal blue aqua water– it’s truly sensational.
  2. Exterior Adventures – If you like the outdoors, this is just one of the most effective locations. You can also trek and see impressive ocean views, browse the best waves, bodyboard, snorkel, diving, paddleboard, para-glide, kite-surfing, beach volleyball, kayak, and so a lot more.
  3. Local Hawaiin Food – It can not improve than this. With all the various societies in Hawaii, the food is outstanding. The cuisine varies, as well as you can grab poke, Korean BBQ, Thai, Huli Hen, or Pizza (yes, we do have Pizza), or you can visit the many Food Trucks on the island, do not forget to attempt our Garlic Shrimp as well as we do have the chain dining establishments below too.
  4. Lifestyle – Hawaii’s Lifestyle is so laid back. Hawaii is continually rated as one of the best states to live in due to the environmental variables, reduced criminal activity, the happiest people in all of the USA, and life expectancy. Keep in mind the significance of living as well as enjoying life.
  5. Perfect Climate – I know I discussed before I missed out on the periods. I do, yet I do not miss the winters or warm, humid summertimes. I’ll take 80 to 90-degree climate anytime. Plus, you can constantly head over to the coastline or go on a hike. Yes, the island gets rainfall, but it’ll be preceded, you understand. Hawaii’s weather is genuinely incredible.

Cons:

  1. The Moisture – We survive on an island; it’s constantly humid. You do climatize to the weather condition, though. A perk is when the professions are available. I love the trade winds. When they remain in, you can open up the home windows, and the calm current simply flows in.
  2. They Are No Seasons in Hawaii – We have temperatures in the 80s to 90s throughout the year. I miss seeing the fallen leaves transform color in the fall. Or the cool, crisp early mornings or nights where you just snuggle up with a covering. You won’t need winter clothing here; leave your jackets at home. Who doesn’t enjoy wearing Tees, shorts, and slippers all year? This is mosting likely to be your new norm.
  3. The Pests – We survive an island; of course, there are pests. Oh my goodness, the centipedes and also roaches are substantial! Have you read about the B52s? They’re giant cockroaches that fly. Don’t shout; they’ll be brought into the sound and fly right at you. Simply thinking about these makes me squeamish. To maintain away the insects, work with a parasite control firm. We have someone come out quarterly, which does the trick. The good idea is that we do not have snakes in Hawaii.
  4. The Rate of Living – It’s incredibly pricey to live here. Mostly all food is imported to Hawaii from the Landmass. Be prepared to pay more excellent rates for food. We have Costco, and I highly suggest purchasing in bulk.
  5. Traffic – Yes, traffic. I recognize you have heard stories about the website traffic right here. We survive an island. There are over a million individuals right here in Oahu. Web traffic can take place any time of the day or night. The heaviest traffic is during the job commute, mornings, and coming home.

I love this island, but I love all the Hawaiian Islands I’ve been to thus far. Oahu has excellent snorkeling and surfing on the north shore and plenty of shopping and dining options in Waikiki. There are also beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls to be seen. If you want crowds and a louder atmosphere, go to Waikiki. If you want to chill, go to the north shore.
Mary S.

Oahu has a personality and specialness all its own.
Wendy B.

Oahu is the BEST Hawaiian Island because it has everything – from the mountains to the oceans; deserts, forests, rainbows, waterfalls, incredible sunsets & sunrises; bamboo, orchids, coconut trees, anthuriums; famous places such as Waikiki Beach, Hanauma Bay, the Arizona Memorial, the Bishop Museum, Diamond Head, the Aloha Stadium; Downtown Financial District; the Honolulu International Airport… Its diversity is fantastic! The weather is excellent – no snow to shovel!! No Winter clothing to buy and store! No ice to scrape! Go hiking, do some snorkeling, golf, go fishing or sightseeing; shop, eat and relax!
